Supplying Artwork on Disk or by Email
Please read the following information before submitting work to help us complete your job in the required time.

FILES
We can accept files in the following formats (Mac or PC):

Adobe InDesign
Please include all fonts used and all images.

Quark Xpress (Version 4.1 - 6.1)
Please include all fonts used and all images.

Adobe Illustrator (Version 10)
Please supply as 'EPS' files with all fonts converted to paths/outlines and any images embedded in CMYK.

PC Files
We are happy to accept files supplied from PC programmes, but because we are primarily Mac based, we require them to be supplied flattened as tiff, jpeg, eps or pdf files (300dpi, cmyk, with a 2mm bleed on all edges). This also prevents any font and/or image conflicts.

Files created in Publisher or Corel (.pub / .cdr) need to exported and saved as the above files as these are files we can not use in their original format.

GRAPHICS / IMAGES
For optimum quality, all colour and greyscale pictures should be scanned at 300dpi or more. Line art graphics should be scanned at a minimum resolution of 600dpi.

COLOUR SPECIFICATIONS
The file should be supplied in 4 colour (CMYK) format. Please ensure all images are CMYK (not RGB) and spot colours are converted to process.

BLEED
If your artwork runs to the edge of the document then please allow a minimum 2mm bleed on each side of your document (to allow for gutters and cutting). Within your document all text and logos should be kept at least 3mm away from the edges.

MEDIA
We can accept files on any of the following media:
CD / DVD / Zip (100 & 250mb)

IMPORTANT: When supplying artwork on disk, you should always supply a colour proof. We cannot take responsibility for errors in your job if there is no proof supplied.

We will supply proofs of your document before we go to print, please ask for further details.

Design Service

The Cambridge Press can provide you with a design service as well as quality print.

Please contact us if you require a quote for a design not specified above.

The prices quoted above are dependent on information provided by you to create the job. They include small amendments to your design. If the original specification of the job dramatically changes at a late stage of the design process, then we will need to charge additional time at £25 per hour.

The following information is needed from you in order for us to create your design quickly and efficiently:-
> All text supplied on disk or by email.
> All images / logos provided digitally, or good quality hard copies to scan.
> If there is a style you like, please provide as much information as possible so our designers can create a style suitable for you.

Once the design is complete we will provide you with a colour proof which you will need to thoroughly check and sign off for approval.
